Eric R. Neuman

Associate Attorney

Mr. Eric R. Neuman received his Bachelors of Arts degree in history from the University of Cincinnati in 1990, graduating Cum Laude. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Neuman worked as a purchasing agent for a manufacturing company in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In 1998, Mr. Neuman earned his Doctorate of Juris Prudence, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University Of Toledo College Of Law. At the University Of Toledo College Of Law, Mr. Neuman received numerous academic distinctions, including being named lead-articles editor for the law review and graduating first in his class, receiving the distinction of being class valedictorian.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Neuman became a law clerk for the Honorable Richard L. Speer, a United States Bankruptcy Judge who, until his death in 2013, had served on the bench for 38 years. Mr. Neuman served with Judge Speer for 15 years, during which time Mr. Neuman worked closely with Judge Speer on hundreds of bankruptcy cases. As a part of his work with Judge Speer, Mr. Neuman assisted in authoring approximately 500 reported decisions.

In 2013, after Judge Speer’s passing, Mr. Neuman left his service with the Federal Judiciary, becoming an associate with the law firm of Diller and Rice. Mr. Neuman is assigned primarily to the Toledo Office of Diller & Rice and will concentrate his practice areas on bankruptcy and insolvency, including transactions and litigation related to such areas. 

Mr. Neuman is admitted to practice law in Ohio and in both the Northern and Southern Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts of Ohio. Mr. Neuman is also a member of the Toledo Bar Association and the Wood County Bar Association.
