Over the past 37 years, Mr. Diller’s practice of law has covered every aspect of law. He was the President of the Van Wert County Public Defender office for 10 years until 2008 involving numerous criminal proceedings and jury trials on behalf of his clients. He is currently an Assistant Prosecutor for Van Wert County, Ohio.
Mr. Diller has participated in the mentoring program for young lawyers sponsored by the Ohio Supreme Court and has, as time permitted, spoken at various seminars. Mr. Diller formerly served as the chairman of the Facilities Governing Board for the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation Center located in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Diller is a member of the Van Wert Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association.
Mr. Diller is primarily focusing his practice in all aspects of the laws of insolvency and all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code and general trial practice. Mr. Diller predominantly practices in Toledo, Ohio before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Western Division, but has also appeared on behalf of clients, pro hac vice before numerous other Bankruptcy Courts across the country. Mr. Diller is also admitted to practice before the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Steven L. Diller received his undergraduate degree from Manchester College in 1977 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo in December of 1979 and began practicing law in Toledo, Ohio in May, 1980.
